An assault of rage shouting back from the mirror
Forgotten hope
The harshest of all truths
Beating rapidly suddenly it forgets itself
Weary from life’s broken promises
The final breath, an exhalation, a release
This life’s end ushered by a moan
Meek and powerless as the last air released from a tire
Death laughing ungratefully as if it was all a lie
